PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

2003 - present

Cornish College of the Arts – Adjunct Professor, Curator

Adjunct Professor - Contemporary Art History, AR441

Curator - Curate twelve art exhibitions each academic year in the Cornish Gallery comprised of faculty, alumni and student artists. As well as curate and produce annual BFA Graduation Exhibitions highlighting the work of 90+ Art and Design graduates. Curator duties include: Curator of artwork and development of exhibition concepts; Design, fabricate, install and light exhibitions containing 2D and 3D artwork, multi-media installations and site-specific outdoor work. Administrative duties include: Promotions; Art direction and copywriting exhibition essay and advertising copy for direct mail and press releases. Fiscal Management; spending responsibility over two cost centers totaling $60,000. Additional projects include the development and implementation of the Cornish Visual Arts Lecture Series and Cornish Art Department Alumni Relations development. Responsibilities also include working proactively with Facilities and Operations departments in the design of capital projects and campus resource regulatory efforts in relation to student exhibitions. Additional duties include safety protocol development and implementation of campus wide safety policy with regards to injury prevention and response, hazardous communications, and personal safety.

 

2002 - 2003 Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center - Program Assistant III
Provide administrative support to the Children’s Protection Team which includes database creation and management, budgetary tracking across multiple cost centers, production of technical documents and visuals in print, web and Power Point formats, project coordination across multiple departments, development and communication of hospital wide policies and procedures including protocols for digital imaging and evidence collection.


2002 British Film Institute, London , England – Production Assistant
Assist in the production of the 17th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and the 46th Regus London Film Festival.


1999 – 2001 Adobe Systems Incorporated, Seattle – Facilities Planner.
Managed long term space planning for campus of 500 employees including project management duties of build-outs and new construction involving architects, contractors and various vendors. Effectively coordinated large internal moves of cross-departmental employees while achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction. Responsible for yearly budget input and tracking operations and project specific costs across three cost centers. Contribute to vendor relations as liaison between Property Manager, Corporate Headquarters and on-site vendors. Served as Production Coordinator for the Adobe Conference Center, a multi-purpose meeting space equipped with professional audio/visual equipment. Production Coordinator duties included day-to-day site management of conference center, oversight of capital improvements such as technology upgrades, as well as producing large events such as company meetings, trade shows, product launches and fundraisers for non-profits. Other duties included site-wide Audio/Visual coordinator responsible for the purchase, maintenance and operation of all visual technology including LCD projectors and video conferencing systems.


1997 – 1999 Adobe Systems Incorporated, Seattle – Administrative Assistant.
Provided administrative support to Directors within Human Resources, Facilities, Operations and Software Engineering. Duties included database creation and management, internal website authoring and maintenance, large event planning, travel arrangements, executive calendar, generation of reports and electronic slide shows. Responsible for yearly budget input and tracking operations and project specific costs across three cost centers. Developed training curriculum and provided training to multi-level learners of After Effects, including graphic artists, customer service and technical support representatives as well as Adobe’s Train the Trainer Program. Curriculum development experience includes defining learning objectives, producing authentic learning exercises, developing classroom material in print, web and PowerPoint formats, classroom presentation and facilitation of material, development of post-training support material. 1994 – 1997 Lockert Jackson and Associates, Bainbridge Island – Assoc. Producer.
Produced monthly, hour long training video centered on industrial safety in the workplace. Duties included topic research, script writing, location planning and production and post-production supervision.
